Privacy Policy

Short version: we never receive your children's data. It stays on your device, or in your own iCloud account if you turn sync on.

Pen Marks is made by Hayde Tech Ltd ("we"). This policy explains what the Pen Marks app for iPhone and iPad does with information.

What stays on your device

Children's names, birth dates, sex, measurements, notes, photos, parents' heights and reminders are stored only on your device. We have no servers that receive them and no way to read them.

iCloud sync

If you turn on iCloud sync, your data is stored in your own private iCloud database through Apple's CloudKit. Only your Apple ID can access it; we cannot. Apple's handling is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

Backups and exports

Backups and CSV exports are files you create and save where you choose (for example Files, iCloud Drive or Google Drive). We never receive them. Whatever service you save them to handles them under its own terms.

Purchases

The lifetime unlock is sold through the App Store. To confirm it, the app uses RevenueCat with a random anonymous ID that is not linked to your name, email or children's data. RevenueCat receives purchase receipts from Apple. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

What we do not do

No accounts. No analytics. No advertising. No tracking across apps or websites. No selling or sharing of data.

Photos and notifications

The app asks for permission only when you use a feature: the camera or photo library to attach a photo, and notifications for reminders. Reminders are scheduled on your device.

Support emails

If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write, and use them only to reply. We delete support emails when they are no longer needed, and at most two years later.

Children

Pen Marks is for parents and carers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Your rights

Because we hold no data about your family, you control it fully in the app: view, edit, export or delete it at any time. For questions about any data we may hold (such as support emails), contact us and we will answer under UK GDPR and applicable law.
